| Kimble Chase disposable centrifuge tubes are manufactured from borosilicate glass in compliance with ASTM Specification E438, Type 1, Class A or B requirements. The 5, 10 and 15mL sizes have conical shaped bottoms while the 50mL has a bullet shaped bottom to withstand centrifugation up to 2980 RCF. The tubes are plastic shrink-wrapped in modular trays for cleanliness and safety.
Threaded disposable centrifuge tubes have a 13-415 finish on the 5mL size, a 15-415 finish on the 10mL and 15mL sizes and a 24-400 finish on the 50mL size. Closures for the screw thread tubes are 73800 series with rubber liner and 73802 series with PTFE liner.
The 5mL disposable centrifuge tube has a size 1 snap cap finish and the 10mL and 15mL tubes have a size 2 snap cap finish. The 50mL size has a tooled top. Polyethylene closures for the snap cap style tubes are 73837 series. |
